Sea Fresh was founded in 1999 by brothers Jan, Sjoert, and Klaas Ras. In 2018, the second generation joined the company. Since 2023, the company has been fully owned by brothers Albert and Sjoerd (sons of founder Jan), who are also responsible for the day-to-day management.
To this day, many family members continue to work within the company.
Despite its strong growth, Sea Fresh has always remained true to the values of a family business: employees who hold an important place, strong local and social commitment, and the daily ambition to do things a little better.

Every day, we produce hundreds of fresh fish products for supermarkets and wholesalers in Europe. We can only do this thanks to the commitment of our passionate colleagues.

Our commitment
Our responsibility extends beyond just producing fish. As an organization, we feel it is our duty to also make a difference locally and internationally for people in need.
We focus on initiatives where we can make a real impact. In particular, we support two projects in which we are involved both financially and administratively.
Inspire Indonesia
Football connects. With a ball, children from poor areas in Indonesia can briefly forget their daily worries. Inspire coaches actively guide them and provide valuable lessons on norms, values, and personal development. Themes such as violence against women — which is unfortunately a current issue in this region — are made open for discussion.
Santosa Sri Lanka
Santosa is a care facility for people with multiple disabilities in Sri Lanka. They receive daily care and are provided with a meal. Additionally, free English lessons are given at the Santosa school during the weekend, giving children from poor areas more opportunities to develop.
